Hi, I’m Jayshree — a Counsellor, Psychotherapist and Expressive Arts Therapy Practitioner. Over the past four years, I’ve been supporting adolescents and adults as they navigated grief, academic pressures, emotionally based school avoidance, attachment wounds, neurodivergence, challenges in interpersonal relationships, life transitions, stress, burnout, self-doubts.
My approach is trauma-sensitve and neurodiversity-affirming, with a deep respect for each person’s lived experience. I believe therapy works best when your voice, strengths, and agency are at the centre of the process.
I work with a blend of narrative therapy, presence-oriented psychotherapy along with expressive art therapy practices like movement, art, doodling, and storytelling. These creative pathways allow for healing and meaning-making beyond words. I also bring a systemic lens that recognizes how culture, identity, and the environments we live in impact our inner dialogue and felt experience.
What drew me to this work is my belief in the power of presence, creativity and resistance to help us find our way through pain and uncertainty.
Outside of sessions, I find grounding in reading, children’s books, pottery, spending time with my cats and, more recently, needlework— practices that keep me connected to the same sense of creativity and presence I invite into my work with clients.
Alongside individual counselling and psychotherapy, I design and facilitate workshops for schools and NGOs, and have collaborated with Artscape, Ek Aasman Tale, The Next Page, Muktangan, and Amaze.
If you are looking for a compassionate space to be heard, to re-claim agency over your story, or to simply reconnect with your sense of vitality, I’d be glad to walk alongside you.
